Acoustic Systems for Stairs 108,208 & H203

For use with the 108, 208 and H203 acoustic floor systems, the stair system incorporates a unique stair nosing feature for adjustments in the finished floor height.

Site Preperation

• Building to be dry and weatherproof
• All flooring materials to be stored in safe dry conditions
• InstaCoustic adhesive and sealant should not be subjected to temperatures of less than 5°c.
• Stair receiving the 108, 208 or H203 system must be:
• Level to within 3mm
• Free of all debris and sharp objects
• Loose or creaking stairs must be screwed down and gaps sealed

• Battery Drill
• Countersink Bit
• Tape Measure

Points to Note

Finish the decoupling fibre on the landing by stapling it to the edge of the stair nosing. Decoupling fibre is not used on the stairs.

When laying the stair system H203 it is necessary to raise the stair treads to ensure that the height of the finished system on the stairs matches that of the landing or adjoining floor area.
