On-site quality efficiency drive contracting successes

It’s a busy and successful time for InstaCoustic’s experienced supply and fit contracting teams, who have an excellent reputation earned through the quality of their work, their maintenance of high operating standards and their collaboration with other trades on-site. The latest recognition of their abilities is the Team Award for Health & Safety at the Lendlease MP2 project which acknowledged that installation quality and procedures are critical, commenting:

‘As a business InstaCoustic has championed IIF, both from their director and contacts manager. They have adopted the Lendlease mental health ethos and have put all of their operatives through the training. As a business they are one of the first flooring companies to be accredited to install passivized protection cavity barriers.’

InstaCoustic offers a comprehensive, cost-effective package of design through to installation which is highly regarded. In particular, its renowned cradle and batten raised acoustic flooring, frequently installed with an integral, high performance, underfloor heating system, offers a variety of benefits, especially in high rise buildings. A good example of this was a recent prestige residential development at Holland Green in west London, for MACE.

The C40 cradle and batten flooring, together with a complete, highly efficient underfloor heating system was installed in all 56 apartments in three buildings ranging from seven to nine storeys. As in many cases, InstaCoustic was specified due to the excellent performance of its integrated system and its complete supply and fit service, which reduced the number of contractors on site and speeded up the construction programme.

Working in partnership with PolyPipe Terrain, InstaCoustic is able to offer main contractors an integrated package that combines an efficient acoustic solution with high quality underfloor heating and removes the overlapping responsibilities of the M&E and flooring contractors. This speeds up installation and saves important time on tight contract schedules.

Another recent success was Saffron Square in Croydon, a mixed use development by Berkley Homes with six low rise blocks and a landmark 43 storey tower. InstaCoustic supplied and fitted over 41,000m2 of its adjustable acoustic flooring in all 738 residential apartments with the system’s recycled rubber crumb cradles preventing over 13,000 car tyres going to landfill. The installation teams were recognised for their high standards of work, interaction with other on-site trades and excellent health and safety record, regularly topping the OHSE league table and maintaining a top four position throughout the four years on site.

InstaCoustic has completed many new build, refurbishment and change of use projects for leading design and build contractors and developers, including Lendlease, Beard Construction, Wates Living Space and BAM Construction, to name but a few. These range from major residential developments, hotels and schools to the London Olympic Village. InstaCoustic’s high quality products and contracting services are increasingly in demand due to its experience at managing all sizes of contracts, ensuring that they are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
