InstaCoustic manufacture a range of rubber crumb acoustic isolating strips, that are designed to be installed below non-load bearing internal partitions to reduce flanking sound transmission. Flanking sound can be a particular problem in lightweight structures where our isolation strips can be fitted to provide high levels of isolation between wall partitions and the structural floor. This greatly reduces the effect of flanking sound and can produce a major improvement to the acoustic performance of the separating floor.
As the isolating strips are made from recyled rubber crumb, the also provide long term performance and do not degrade or collapse over time. The InstaCoustic isolating strips are suitable for both concrete and timber structural floors and their use is seen as good practice in the prevention of sound transmission.
