Following a recommendation from main contractor, Durkan, over 7,000m2 of InstaCoustic C40 cradle and batten acoustic flooring has been installed at a major new development in London. It will provide excellent sound insulation for the residents of 168 flats, as required by developers London & Quadrant.
Set around the historic wharves of the Regent’s Canal, Kingsland Wharves includes five new apartment buildings blending with four carefully restored historic buildings with shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and offices.
The C40 system was chosen based on price, quality, previous good experience and the service from InstaCoustic. Furthermore, it could also be used in some areas of the refurbished buildings to overcome uneven sub-floors.
Additional benefits of the C40 system include:-
- Fast, easy and cost-effective to install
- Robust Detail compliant
- Exceeds the acoustic requirements of Building Regulations, Part E,
- Can be laser-levelled on site to produce a level finished floor surface.
- Environmentally friendly and fully recyclable.
